Online Lesson Scheduling Tools

How do you handle lesson scheduling? I was getting tired of phone and email tag, so I enlisted the internet to help me out. I’m coming to the close of my fourth summer using the website www.youcanbook.me for scheduling. It has been amazing! This isn’t a sponsored post or anything—it just worked well.

Here are a few things I like about youcanbook.me:

  • The free version has everything I need
  • It integrates with my google calendar
  • Students can schedule a variety of lesson lengths (30 min, 45 min, etc.)
  • I don’t want students scheduling lessons with less than 48 hours notice, and this program lets me do that

The one downside is that it was a little tricky to figure out how to set it up. I eventually googled a tutorial that walked me through it. I should have done that from the beginning.

I find that youcanbook.me works great for scheduling makeup lessons, every-other-week students, and summer lessons (I offer lesson packages in the summer and students are responsible for scheduling the lessons). I haven’t tried using it for scheduling my regular school year lessons. Studio parents can’t be trusted with that much autonomy. :)

There are a variety of other booking/scheduling solutions out there. Please leave a comment if you have one that you like!
